Departments of Foreign Languages (FFL) started at Islamic Azad University, Khorasgan Branch, first in 1989, by establishing two undergraduate programs; namely, English Translation and French Language and Literature. Further development came in 1990, by offering an MA program in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL), followed by introducing a PhD program in TEFL in 1993. Later, in 2008, the Faculty of Foreign Languages offered three more MA programs in Translation Studies as well as General Linguistics in English, and French Language and Literature.
